Mid-Winter 2025 Information
Hello 2025 Mid-Winter Workshop participants!
The organization team and faculty have prepared another stellar experience for us this year, and we are set for things to kick off with the Friday evening playing session on January 24 at 7:00pm. Participants are welcome to arrive as early as 6:00pm to sign in at the registration desk and prepare for the large group playing session.
We will be using the “E-Wing” entrance (circled in green) to Dickerson Middle School (855 Woodlawn Dr NE, Marietta, GA). The bright yellow Atlanta Recorder Society signs will be in the parking lot and by the door. There are six steps leading down to the E-Wing entrance. There is also a ramp leading to this entrance for those with limited mobility.
We also regret to announce a last-minute faculty change. Wendy Gillespie will be replacing Gail Ann Schroeder and taking over her class topics. Our sympathy goes to Gail Ann, who had to make a sudden trip to be with her family in the Chicago area. We are very grateful to Wendy for her flexibility in accommodating our workshop within her busy schedule.

Workshop Format: All sessions are at A440 pitch. The Workshop will open Friday evening with an all play session. On Saturday, we will have a variety of topic-based sessions for which you can sign up followed by an all winds session and an all viols session. We will close on Sunday morning with another all play session. You do *not* need to bring a music stand unless you prefer a particular height.
